INTRODUCTION
Accidents in public places are very common and can happen in a variety of ways. The range of public places is extensive and includes streets, highways, shops, shopping centres, parks, pubs, hotels and theatres to name a few.

The law protects you from being injured in a public space and requires a local authority, private landowner or occupier to have proper regard for the safety of people who may use their premises or land.

Common accidents include tripping on uneven or broken paving, stepping into a pothole, tripping on an object protruding from the ground or slipping on a wet floor.
HOW TO ASSIST YOUR CLAIM
ACSL Solicitors have vast experience in dealing with compensation claims for almost any type of accident in a public space.

Your claim for compensation will be greatly assisted if you:
  • Take photographs of the place where you were injured providing evidence of the hazard that caused your injury.
  • Record measurements of what has caused the accident, for example, of the depth/height of the raised paving stone or pot hole.
  • Report the accident to the property / landowner as soon as possible.
OUR FEES
If we do win, we will charge up to 25% of the compensation you receive for your personal injury.
NO WIN NO FEE
We act on a ‘no win no fee’ basis. If we don’t win or we tell you that we don’t believe we are going to win, we will not charge you for any of the work done. All we ask is that you deal with us honestly and provide accurate and truthful information at all times.

if we do win, we will charge up to 25% of the compensation you receive for your personal injury only. Some competitors charge their fee against all compensation recovered for you, such as vehicle damage, or lost earnings, we don’t think that is fair. Let us show an example of how our pricing differs from some other law firms:-

ACSL SOLICITORS FEE OTHER LAW FIRM XXXX FEE
Personal Injury = £2000 Up to £500 Up to £500
Vehicle Damage = £6000 Zero Up to £1500
Lost Earnings = £400 Zero Up to £100
Total = £8400 Total = Up to £500 Total = Up to £2100

Based on the example above, ACSL Solicitors will charge roughly £1600 less than some other firms. That’s more compensation going to you, as it should be.
